Right to Life
We believe in the sanctity of innocent human life from conception to natural death (Psalm 139:13-16), and protecting the lives of the unborn. That is why our church supports Rhode Island Right to Life (RIRTL), an organization that was founded in 1969. It is the largest and oldest non-profit organization in the state of Rhode Island. RIRTL is involved in political action and legislative work at the State House level. Through affiliation with the National Right to Life Committee, it is our pro-life voice in Washington, D.C.
Through its educational trust fund, RIRTL reaches out to hundreds of high school and college students yearly. Ancora Womens Mobile Care Center offers free ultrasounds and counseling services for pregnant woman. RIRTL advocates for a state, nation, and world in which the unborn, disabled, and elderly are cherished and protected by civil law.
RIRTL has a maternity hope chest filled with children’s clothing up to age five, diapers, and baby furniture. Its resource center staff encourages women throughout the course of their pregnancies, offers pro-life classes, cooking, and crafting classes. RIRTL educates and trains teachers in the field in pro-life advocacy. The staff is bi-lingual and the organization welcomes people of all political and religious backgrounds.
